About five or six years ago, I started an Easter tradition where I paint a new Easter picture and write a poem. This year, I painted probably 12 tombs to hand out to friends and family. I'll probably make copies next time.
A new tradition is having a special Easter dinner. We eat a middle eastern meal, we listen to Risen and we share a scripture. I go in with no expectations because I want our family to just enjoy being together. I try to make it special, but I also try to roll with the punches so that it is a good experience for everyone. I don't want my family looking back on these traditions and thinking that their mom was always stressed out. That would defeat the whole purpose. My goal is a nice evening, where we talk about Christ and celebrate His resurrection.
The Easter pageant is a tradition...
Hannah's trio team one every competition this year. She was even offered a spot in Hollywood for a professional dance class.
Luke took a nasty fall on the scooter. He hit a patch of uneven pavement and his face took the brunt of the fall.
Hannah turned 12 this year!
Luke made the best of a bad situation. He was placed in social dance and he owned it!
