So, it has been a while, I have several notes in my phone reminding me to blog about certain things. I don't know for sure if I have recorded them all or not, so some may be repeats but that's okay. ;)
1: Cubby is literal. The other day in nursery another kid was saying, "Hey!" to me over and over again. Caleb said, "She is not Hey she is Mom!" That kid called me mom throughout the rest of nursery. HAHA!
2: Luke bears sweet testimonies, I tell him it's one of his spiritual gifts. The other day he bore a testimony about April losing her baby and how we brought her dinner and that Jesus likes it when we show comfort to those who have lost babies. He also bore a testimony recently about a friend of his who is having a hard time gaining the weight that he needs to gain and how the doctor's may have to insert a feeding tube. He said that he's been praying for his friend, and that he knows his prayers are heard. He said that Jesus loves it when we pray for others.
3: Luke offered Mercedes his suit coat at church when she said she was cold.
4: Joshua gave Cub his cupcake that he had (the only cupcake he was given at church) because Cub was sad that he didn't have one. He also cleaned out my van just to do something nice for me.
5: Hannah is very limber and can do the splits. She likes to stretch with me.
6: Luke wrote "God" in the number one spot on his thankful list for school.
7: Mercedes bore a sweet testimony about her dream about my grandma, and how Heavenly Father heard her prayers about how much she missed her and so her dream was a tender mercy.
8: Caleb likes to smell his stinky diapers. It's really weird, not gonna lie, he says, "Mom, let me smell it!" I hold it up to his nose, he sniffs it, and he declares that it's very stinky.
9: Caleb says the cutest prayers. The other night he prayed a lot about toystores and going to time-out, his little eyes were closed tight and his little arms were folded so nicely. At the end of the prayer, he said, "daddy go to work, and mommy serve Jesus." It made my heart swell to hear those words. I ask the kids every night at bedtime how they served Jesus that day. It means so much that they go out of their way to serve Jesus on a daily basis now. I'm thankful that my two year old recognized that I try to serve my Savior every day.
10: Hannah escaped Chuck-e-Cheese the other day. Someone found her in the parking lot.
11: Hannah got really mad at Jon Mark on our family walk recently. She ran over him with her bike, but then got so mad that he was in her way when clearly the only one at fault was her. LOL.
12: Mercedes loves helping me cook. I hope I'm patient with her.
13: Mercedes has been reading to Hannah at nights. It pleases me to hear her read to Hannah.
14: Hannah made some artwork and carried it with her to the store. Her intent was to give it away to someone to serve Jesus. I forgot and we left the store with her picture still in her hand. She was so sad. So, we found someone in the parking lot and I told them she wanted to give them her picture to serve Jesus. She's also left her artwork on doorsteps around the neighborhood for the same reason.
15: I ran a mile in 6:56 minutes :)
16: I ran 4 miles with a 7:35 minute average.
17: Jon Mark worked 171 hours last month! That's a lot!
18: Jon Mark and I have been walking at nights and I love our little talks.
